Om aan alle onzekerheden ( nou ja alle...

) een einde te maken, heb ik maar eens aan air berlin zelf gevraagd hoe zij er over denken.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Wil a paraglider be transferred as "sport baggage". A paraglider typically is a bag of 45x50x85 cm.
The weight is about 20 kg.
The question is asked, because paragliders are not explicitly mentioned in the relevant web page.
Further there are rumors that the policy of air berlin has been changed. Some of my fellow sportsman seem to have encountered problems.
In the past i have been able to carry a paraglider without any problems, a major reason to choose air berin.

Dear Mr. Wiegers,
thanks for your e-mail.
Actually a paraglider is not listed in sportsequipment. So all which is not listed will be counted as excess baggage.
So you will pay the excess baggage rate of 10 EUR per kilo.
I hope that I could help you out with this information.
Yours faithfully,

Considering my original question and your response, will it be possible
(without extra kost) to carry a paraglider and some aditional baggage
with a total weight of 30 kg using the topbonus card.
I am asking this because of the dimensions of a paragilder (45x50x85
cm). May be there are some rules for normal baggage that exclude odd sizes.

Dear Mr Wiegers,
if you do not exceed your baggage allowance, there will be no further fees to pay.
The dimensions or the number of your pieces are not mandatory, if you do not travel to the United States or Canada.
Yours faithfully,
